Public Event: "Artists as Entrepreneurs"
Lakes Center for the Arts and the Meredith Public Library are pleased to announce an upcoming public event, “Artists as Entrepreneurs”, Tuesday, March 25th from 6:00-7:30 in the Function Room at the library located at 91 Main Street, Meredith. (603-279-4303)
The keynote speaker will be Lisa Burk-McCoy, Creative Community Development, NH State Council on the Arts. The NH State Council on the Arts (NHSCA) is a grant-making entity that allocates public funds to support artists, arts organizations and arts focused projects across the Granite State. Ms. Burk-McCoy will lead an informal conversation about grants and resources available through NHSCA. Through presentation, interactive discussion and Q & A, artists will learn about grants and how to access additional NHSCA support.
The presentation will focus on resources artists may access to benefit themselves including development of business skills, participation in programs to raise the level and quality of their art, and participation in programs to bring their art to the widest possible markets.
Space is limited and registration is required.
To make your reservation, please email: cfgerken@hotmail.com by March 18th.
