Deborah Curtin
Artist Statement
My art is what I see, hear and feel. Then it finds its place on whatever surface creates the best impression.
The written word is another journey, where my creativity is a never ending way to craft words into a story that speaks to each of us.
I have delved into different mediums per job, but my preference is acrylics, and exterior house paint for murals where I create my own colors.

Deborah Curtin has had many career moves leading to a creative layer in her art and writing.
Commercial Art was her focus on the drawing table. The camera added a unique perspective.
Working for printing companies, led to side jobs; logo design, calligraphy, commissioned portraits of homes and people.
Writing for a community newspaper, led to her first published novel.
Deborah’s favorite art challenge was designing and painting six, 4 ft. sculpted eagles, auctioned to support the military.
Exterior street murals continue to be a unique quest.
