Meet the Artist Series: Kathryn Field

As part of its Meet the Artist series, the Lakes Center for the Arts welcomes Kathryn Field presenting a class on Handmade Books.

Using a variety of simple techniques the class will cover the basics of bookbinding. Methods of fabrication such as accordion fold books, Japanese stab-binding, and pamphlet binding will be demonstrated. Students will construct a blank book and focus on creating a beautiful cover with a wide selection of materials provided.
